Abstract

1,086,638. Cycle frames. MOULTON CONSULTANTS Ltd. Aug. 11, 1964 [Aug. 28, 1963], No. 33995/63. Heading B7E. An F-shaped Moulton cycle frame has reinforced sheet metal; or metal reinforced moulded glass fibre posts 2 and 3 of aerofoil cross-section closed at their trailing edge seams by aluminium beads for example, the posts straddling and being welded or otherwise fixed to a backbone 1 comprising an, inverted U- shaped channel closed at, its underside by a flanged, base-plate 4. The rear suspension housing of the cycle and the crank axle housing are formed as shown in Figs. IV and VI respectively. The beam 24 embraces the seat tube 3 by means of two dimpled ears 26, 27 and a fixing tube 28.
