Abstract

1,085,255. Pouches. REYNOLDS METALS CO. Oct. 8, 1964 [Oct. 11, 1963], No. 41150/64. Addition to 1,079,781. Heading A4G. [Also in Division B8] A container is formed with an exterior of relatively rigid board 33, 32, 34, Fig. 6, to the inner surface of which is secured a relatively flexible sheet 40 to form a productcontaining pouch. The board and sheet are folded at 47, 48 to form two pouches 41 and the open tops closed as at 38, 39, Fig. 10, and the board is provided with an openable means 60, 42 for dispensing the product through the board. A shown a string 42, which may be strengthened with a tape, is secured between the board and sheet so that, when pulled, it tears out a strip 60 of board between score lines 58, 59 to form a slot 44 through which the contents of one of the pouches may be dispensed. The slot may be replaced by a circular or triangular opening having a flap connected by perforations to the board, or this flap may be secured to a hinged overlapping board flap to facilitate pulling open.
