Abstract

[Also in Division G2] A powder supply arrangement includes a bottomless container 34 mounted over a vibratable delivery trough 52 of V-shaped cross-section. The trough contains rough-surfaced balls 70 of quartz, steel or ceramic, which are agitated by electromagnetic vibrator 74 to disperse any clumps of particles and to assist the flow towards the lower open end 58 of the trough. The powder falls on to a screw-conveyer (22) which mixed it with iron particles to form a magnetic brush for an electrophotographic development apparatus (see Division G2).
