Channels and reservoirs in stuffing-boxes. - In packing for stern tubes of the type in which a revolving collar 2 rubs against a stationary ring 11 acted on by springs 13, the collar 2 and ring 11 are formed with grooves 16, 14, in order to admit oil from the stern tube to the rubbing surfaces.
