Abstract

1,079,834. Spray producers. UNILEVER Ltd. Sept. 24, 1964 [Sept. 27, 1963], No. 38211/ 63. Heading B2F. A foam dispenser comprises a resilient container 1 having a screw neck 2 to which a dispensing head 3 is attached. The latter, which comprises a cap 4, a skirt 5, a restricting orifice 8, a nozzle 6 and an extension tube 7, houses a perforate member in the form of a foraminated P.V.C. foaming pellet. The orifice 8 forms a restriction member which substantially prevents any escape of liquid from the container in liquid form. In use the container is half to two thirds filled with a foamable liquid, the head is attached and the assembly shaken to form foam. When the container is squeezed the foam passes through the orifice 8 and pellet 9 to emerge as dry foam from the tube 7. Instead of a pellet the member 9 may be a perforated ceramic disc.
