A sleeve which is adapted to be inserted between a flexible hose and a wire hose clamp comprises a flat elongated metal sheet bent to generally circular form and having lugs formed by turning out parts of the sleeve, the lugs being arranged to locate the sleeve with respect to the hose clamp. In one construction, Fig. 3 each end of the sleeve is formed with three lugs 21, 22, 23 and the lugs 22 are turned out from the general curvature of the sleeve so that when the sleeve is used with a hose clamp comprising two rings the lugs 22 lie between the rings and the lugs 21 and 23 are outside the rings. A further lug 24 is formed away from the ends of the sleeve and this also lies between the two rings and engages the ends of the rings to prevent relative rotation. In a second construction the sleeve has six identical lugs each lug being formed by making two slits in the edge of the sleeve and turning up the portion included between the slits; in this case the lugs are arranged so that they are outside the rings. The end portions of the sleeve overlap.
