Abstract

1,072,085. Levels. A. WULLSCHLEGER. July 27, 1965 [July 29, 1964], No.32000/65. Heading G1F. A spirit level comprises a hollow light metal alloy body 1 of rectangular cross-section containing two bubble bodies 6, 7 of transparent synthetic plastics material. The body 1 may be provided with ribs 2 and with resilient end caps (not shown). The bubble bodies are mounted detachably and adjustably in the body 1 e.g. by means of screws 9. In an alternative arrangement the bubble may be cylindrical and may be pressed into a sleeve extending transversely of the body 1. The body 1 may be formed with a groove 4 on one of its narrow faces so that the level can be set on a round body. Permanent magnets may also be provided in the body 1 for ease of attachment to desired surfaces.
