Abstract

1,068,611. Articulated vehicles. CHASESIDE ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. Sept. 3, 1965 [June 4, 1964]. No. 23149/64. Headings B7D and B7H. In an articulated vehicle having a rear portion 6 pivotable relative to a front portion 3 about a vertical axis 9, one axle 8 is longitudinally slidable relative to the portion of the vehicle carrying it, means, such as a rigid link 15, maintaining the midpoints of the axles 4, 8 a constant distance apart. Axle 8 is carried by a cradle 13 which is slidable on a pair of coaxial pins 14 about which the axle is also rockable for traversing uneven ground.
