Abstract

1,067,901. Wheel chair driving means. B. T. GOOD. Jan. 28, 1966 [Jan. 14, 1965], No. 1603/65. Addition to 987,157. Heading B7E. The main drive U-shaped levers of the parent Specification have their upper parts 20 separate from the lower U limbs 19 and corrugated or striated and secured by nuts and bolts 21 to mating corrugations &c. on the limbs, thus allowing the positions of the parts 20 and the driving pawls 16 engaging the wheels to be adjusted. A further handle 25 which may be pivoted downwardly about rivet 27 is also provided to pivot the main lever as a whole during a return stroke. The chair is provided with castor wheels sprung on rubber blocks, Fig. 3 (not shown).
