[Also in Divisions B5 and F2] A hollow, sintered cylindrical bearing (5) of P.T.F.E. is placed on a mandrel (3) in a die (1,2) and the die is filled under pressure with a material (9) having a working temperature below the first order transition temperature of P.T.F.E. The filling material (9) may be a low melting point alloy, e.g. of Sn and Sb.
