Abstract

1,060,692. Switches held set and freed mechanically. N.S.F. Ltd. March 17, 1965 [March 17, 1964], No. 11320/64. Heading H2B. Two pivotally mounted switch actuator members 15, 16, have hooked arms 44, 45 for engagement with a resiliently biased latching bar 40 to latch either or both members 15, 16 against their biasing springs 22 in the switchactuated position, and a similar shaped release member 18 positioned between members 15, 16, is operable to move bar 40 against its spring 43 and release the latched member or members 15, 16. Movement of member 15 or 16 causes bar 40 to pivot about slot 42 or slot 41 respectively to allow arm 44 or 45 to latch on to the bar without releasing the other member if it is already latched. A further actuator member 17 is independent of the latching mechanism, having no latching arm. The actuating members 15-18 are clipped on to a rod 20, and are guided during their pivotal movement by integrally moulded projections (23) co-operating with guide members (24) on the base (10a) of housing 10 (Fig. 1, not shown). Actuators 15, 16, 17, each have one or more recesses containing a spring-pressed plunger (33) engaging a pivoted contact rocker member (27), (Fig. 2, not shown). The terminals (25), (26), (26b) are staked in position, and each rocker (27) is retained on its pivot terminal (25) by bent-over lugs.
