Abstract

1,041,674. Endless conveyers. EASTMAN KODAK CO. April 1, 1965 [April 6, 1964], No. 13808/65. Heading B8A. An apparatus for conveying a sheet S<SP>1</SP> along a non-linear path in contact with an endless belt 26 comprises a driving drum 28 and an idler drum 22 around which the belt and sheet move, the sheet being in contact with the drums and of a length such that it extends beyond the two drums and is maintained in tension therebetween. The drum 22 is positioned relative to the terminal roller 24 of the belt 26 such that the roller 22 engages over an arc, the same belt surface as is engaged over an arc by the roller 28, the radii of the two rollers being selected to ensure that the sheet S<SP>1</SP> therebetween is held taut to prevent crumpling thereof at the roller 28.
