Gemme composite (100) comprenant : - un corps principal (10) en diamant ayant une face ; - une structure de coloration (13) de ladite face par interférence optique, comprenant une couche enterrée (12) semi-transparente ou opaque, d’indice de réfraction n1, disposée sur la face du corps principal, et une couche de revêtement (11) en diamant, d’indice de réfraction n2, recouvrant complétement la couche enterrée, ; la différence entre n1 et n2, en valeur absolue, étant supérieure ou égale à 0,1 ; la couche enterrée étant apte à réfléchir un faisceau incident de lumière visible réfracté (22) par la couche de revêtement et la couche de revêtement étant apte à fournir une coloration par interférence entre un faisceau incident de lumière visible réfléchi (21) par une surface externe de la couche de revêtement et un faisceau (24) réfracté par la couche de revêtement après réflexion sur la couche enterrée.
