Description
DESCRIPTIONDESCRIPTION
The invention relates to the field of lighting and signaling systems for motor vehicles. The invention relates more particularly to a lighting module for a projector without external cover glass.
Headlamps for a motor vehicle are known which do not have external cover glass (or protective glass). Such projectors include a housing to which is fixed at least one lighting module, the lighting module comprising a lens mounted on a support and intended to transmit the light emitted by a light source comprising for example one or more light-emitting diodes.
The lighting module must be able to respect a certain clearance in order to be able to modify the orientation of the light beam, in particular to adapt the light beam according to the load of the vehicle. Thus, the lighting module is movable in rotation relative to the housing. However, due to the absence of external protective glass, in the event of severe weather, external elements such as mud or snow are likely to accumulate around the lighting module, and limit or even prevent movement of the light module. In such a case, the necessary adjustments to the beam orientation could no longer be ensured.
The object of the present invention is to remedy the drawbacks of the state of the art, and more particularly those described above, by proposing a projector comprising at least one lighting module without glass, the projector being configured to avoid that an accumulation of undesirable elements around the lighting module without glass does not hinder the movements necessary to modify the orientation of the light beam.
À cet effet, l’invention concerne un projecteur pour véhicule automobile, le projecteur étant dépourvu de glace de couverture et comportant au moins un module d’éclairage, le module d’éclairage étant monté sur un support mobile, le support mobile étant monté mobile en rotation sur un boîtier fixe du projecteur, le boîtier et le support mobile étant agencés afin d’empêcher la pénétration de corps étrangers entre ces deux élémentsTo this end, the invention relates to a headlight for a motor vehicle, the headlight being devoid of cover glass and comprising at least one lighting module, the lighting module being mounted on a mobile support, the mobile support being mounted mobile. rotating on a fixed housing of the projector, the housing and the movable support being arranged to prevent the penetration of foreign bodies between these two elements
Thus, by providing for fixing the lighting module on a mobile support in rotation integral with a fixed housing of the projector, the housing and the mobile support being configured to prevent the penetration of foreign bodies between these two elements, it is avoided that the accumulation of foreign bodies in the space surrounding the lighting module cannot hinder its movement, and it is ensured that the lighting module (s) in all circumstances have the necessary clearance.
In one embodiment, the housing includes a cavity in which the mobile support is disposed.
In one embodiment, the cavity has a shape compatible with the extreme positions of the movable support.
In one embodiment, the cavity has two stops, an upper stop and a lower stop, the stops making it possible to limit the amplitude of the rotational movement of the mobile support.
In one embodiment, the mobile support is mounted mobile in rotation about an axis of rotation arranged in the lower part of the cavity.
In one embodiment, the projector comprises an electric motor for driving the mobile support in rotation.
In one embodiment, the lighting module comprises a housing including a lens and a light source, such as one or more light-emitting diodes.
In one embodiment, the projector comprises two lighting modules and a mobile support for each lighting module.
The invention also relates to a motor vehicle, comprising at least one headlamp conforming to that defined above.
The present invention will be better understood on reading the detailed description which follows, given with reference to the appended drawings, in which:
[Fig. 1] est une vue partielle en perspective de l’avant d’un véhicule automobile équipé d’un projecteur conforme à l’invention, comportant deux modules d’éclairage sans glace ;[Fig. 1] is a partial perspective view of the front of a motor vehicle equipped with a headlamp according to the invention, comprising two light modules without glass;
[Fig. 2] est une vue en coupe du projecteur équipant le véhicule de la figure 1 ;[Fig. 2] is a sectional view of the headlamp fitted to the vehicle in FIG. 1;
[Fig. 3] est une vue analogue à la figure 2, le module d’éclairage étant dans une position différente de celle de la figure 2.[Fig. 3] is a view similar to FIG. 2, the lighting module being in a position different from that of FIG. 2.
Figure 1 partially shows a motor vehicle 1 having two front headlights 2 without glass (only the left front headlight being shown in the partial view of Figure 1). The projector 2 comprises in the example two lighting modules 3, 4 without glass, that is to say without protective glass. The two lighting modules 3, 4 are arranged in a space delimited in particular by the upper part of the front bumper 5 and by a body element 6, or hood extension 6, located in the extension of the front hood (this element bodywork is commonly designated by its English name "soft nose"). This space containing the lighting modules is open towards the front, and, as indicated above, such a configuration can in certain cases lead to an accumulation of foreign bodies (such as mud or snow) in the space surrounding the lighting modules 3, 4. As explained below, the invention makes it possible to prevent such an accumulation leading to a blocking of the rotation of these lighting modules, thus preventing the adjustment the orientation of the light beam from the headlamp 2 when a correction is required, in particular as a function of the attitude of the vehicle.
La rotation du support mobile 20 n’est par conséquent pas susceptible d’être entravée.FIG. 2 represents the projector 2 seen in section, showing one of the two lighting modules (in the example the lighting module 3). According to the invention, the lighting module is mounted on a movable support 20, the movable support being mounted movably in rotation in a cavity 22 formed in a fixed housing 2a of the projector 2. The movable support 20 is mounted movable around 'an axis of rotation 24, arranged in the example in the lower part of the cavity 22. The movable support 20 is adjusted in the cavity 22 so that no foreign element can penetrate inside the cavity 22. In in particular, the shape of the cavity 22 is compatible with all of the positions of the mobile support (ie the two extreme positions and all of the intermediate positions), and, whatever the position of the mobile support 20, no space between the cavity 22 and the movable support 20 does not allow foreign bodies (such as mud, snow, dust) to penetrate and be interposed between these two elements. The rotation of the movable support 20 is therefore not likely to be hindered.
The configuration according to the invention therefore makes it possible to obtain a lighting module 3 mobile in rotation (in order to be able to adjust the orientation of the light beam in accordance with the regulations) while preventing an accumulation of foreign bodies from being able to block module rotation. Indeed, when an adjustment of the orientation of the beam is necessary, it is the whole of the mobile support 20 and the lighting module 3 which is driven in rotation (for example by means of an electric motor - not shown) relative to the cavity 22. Thus, as illustrated in FIG. 3, in which the lighting module 3 and its movable support 20 are represented in a low position of the light beam, an accumulation of foreign bodies (such as the snow 7) in the space surrounding the lighting module 3 will also be rotated, and will therefore not be liable to block the movement of the lighting module 3.
Avantageusement, la cavité 22 du boîter 2a est équipée de butées, dans l’exemple une butée supérieure 26 et une butée inférieure 28, ces butées 26, 28 permettant de limiter l’amplitude du mouvement de rotation du support mobile 20.Advantageously, the cavity 22 of the housing 2a is equipped with stops, in the example an upper stop 26 and a lower stop 28, these stops 26, 28 making it possible to limit the amplitude of the rotational movement of the mobile support 20.
The invention therefore makes it possible to avoid that an accumulation of foreign bodies in the space situated around the lighting modules 3, 4 cannot hinder the movement of the lighting modules 3, 4 when a modification of the light beam orientation is required.
