L'invention porte principalement sur un démarreur pour moteur thermique d'un véhicule automobile comprenant: - un moteur électrique comprenant un stator et un rotor monté sur un arbre, - un arbre d'entraînement (11) sur lequel est monté un lanceur, - un réducteur de vitesse (85) de type épicycloïdal monté entre l'arbre de rotor et ledit arbre d'entraînement (11), - ledit réducteur de vitesse (85) comprenant une couronne dentée (89), un pignon planétaire solidaire en rotation dudit arbre de rotor et un porte-satellites (86) solidaire en rotation dudit arbre d'entraînement (11), aux moins un satellite (87) engrenant avec le pignon planétaire et avec la couronne (89), - une plaque de base (92) portant ladite couronne dentée (89), caractérisé en ce que la couronne dentée (89) comporte des portions de reprise de couple (98), chaque portion de reprise de couple (98) étant montée entre deux butées périphériques (97) de la plaque de base (92), et en ce que les portions de reprise de couple (98) assurent une fonction d'amortisseur de choc de la couronne dentée (89).The invention mainly relates to a starter for a heat engine of a motor vehicle comprising: - an electric motor comprising a stator and a rotor mounted on a shaft, - a drive shaft (11) on which a starter is mounted, - a speed reducer (85) of the epicyclic type mounted between the rotor shaft and said drive shaft (11), - said speed reducer (85) comprising a toothed ring (89), a planetary pinion fixed in rotation to said rotor shaft and a planet carrier (86) integral in rotation with said drive shaft (11), at least one planet gear (87) meshing with the planetary pinion and with the ring gear (89), - a base plate (92 ) carrying said toothed ring (89), characterized in that the toothed ring (89) comprises torque recovery portions (98), each torque recovery portion (98) being mounted between two peripheral stops (97) of the base plate (92), and in that the torque recovery portions (98 ) act as a shock absorber for the ring gear (89).
