Abstract
The present invention relates to a bottom-surface connection installation of an underwater pipe resting on the sea bottom comprising a rigid pipe (1) rising from the sea bottom where it rests, up to the subsurface where its top end (11) is connected to a floating support (10), characterized in that the said top end (11) of the rigid duct is connected to the said floating support by: 1) a flexible pipe (2) capable of allowing fluid transported by the said rigid pipe (1) to be transferred to the floating support, and 2) a flexible link comprising at least one elastic damping device (4) to provide the connection between the top end of the riser and a coupling point (5, 41c) on the said floating support, the said elastic damping device (4) absorbing the tension of the said rigid pipe at its top end, and allowing the distance between the top end of the rigid pipe and the floating support to vary in a controlled manner.
