Abstract
Description
It is common practice, for breeding oysters in particular, to put young oysters in bags or pockets. These bags are usually laid flat on a table, resting on the seabed and oyster farming lasts two to three years. But, to ensure the growth of these oysters, it is imperative to turn and return these pockets regularly before the oyster reaches its marketing size. This method of farming requires a lot of handling and the work of oyster farmers is particularly painful and demanding because of the weight of each pocket and the large number of pockets to return regularly. The object of the invention is to avoid these drawbacks by proposing a support device for at least one shell-farming pouch which makes it possible to easily and quickly return large quantities of shells by simple, reliable means and little expensive. For this purpose, the subject of the invention is a device for supporting at least one shell-farming ladle, characterized in that it comprises means for spacing the walls of the ladle and an axis of rotation connecting said ladle. spacers and whose ends located outside the pocket, rest on a frame to allow the reversal of said at least pocket. The device according to the invention may comprise one or more of the following characteristics: the spacing means comprise at least two S-shaped rods comprising two end branches resting on the walls of the pocket and a central arm provided with said axis of rotation, the spacing means comprise two S-shaped rods disposed substantially at the lateral edges of the pocket and an S-shaped rod disposed substantially in the middle of said pocket, and the device comprises means for maintaining the pocket on the frame in a substantially horizontal position.
The invention will be better understood on reading the description which will follow, given by way of example and with reference to the appended drawings, in which: FIG. 1 is a schematic perspective view of a support device according to FIG. FIG. 2 is a diagrammatic perspective view of the spacing means of the walls of a shell-farming pocket, and FIG. 3 is a side view of a shell-farming pocket during the flipping this pocket.
FIG. 1 diagrammatically shows a ladle for culturing shells, and in particular oysters, generally designated by the reference numeral 1. In a conventional manner, this pouch 1 is formed by a mesh comprising meshes allowing the circulation of the water and said pocket has two longitudinal walls 2 and opposite. The pocket 1 rests on a support device which generally comprises means 10 for spacing the walls 2 from the pocket 1 and an axis of rotation 11 connecting said spacing means. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the means 10 for separating the walls of the bag 2 comprise at least two S-shaped rods 12 having two end branches 12a on which the walls 2 of the bag are resting. 1 and a central branch 12b provided with said axis of rotation 11. Preferably, the spacing means 10 comprise two S-shaped rods 12 disposed substantially at the lateral edges of the bag 1 and an S-shaped rod 12 arranged substantially in the middle of said pocket 1. As shown in Figure 1, the two ends 11a of the axis 11 located outside the pocket 1 rest on a frame 15 which is supported on the seabed so that this 1 pocket is placed above this seabed to allow the flow of water around this pocket 1. The frame 15 may, of course, have several locations placed next to each other and each having a pocket 1. The pocket 1 is closed e by suitable means of known type, which connect the ends of said pocket between them.
Since the ends 11a of the axis of rotation Il are resting on the frame 15, it is sufficient for the oyster farmer to rotate this pocket around this axis of rotation 11 to return it, without lifting it. which reduces handling operations and saves time. The pocket 1 is held in a substantially horizontal position, as shown in FIG. 1, by holding means 20 which consist for example of straps or by any other appropriate device. The rods 12 placed between the walls 2 of the bag 1 make it possible to keep the bag 1 inflated by spacing its walls 2, which ensures better circulation of water in the bag 1 and better aeration of the oysters. Alternatively, the axes of rotation 11 of several pockets 1 placed next to each other on the frame 15 may be interconnected, allowing to return multiple pockets simultaneously.
It is clear from this description that the handling of oysters is greatly facilitated and that the turning of the shell bags is effortless and without lifting these pockets. The support device according to the invention also provides an improvement in the rearing of shellfish, and in particular oysters, because these shells are better oxygenated and their quality is thus increased.
