Abstract

The method involves gripping a container, and subjecting the container to a sterilizing radiation that is provided from a radiation emitter (7). The container is gripped from interior via an opening, where the container is brought to a zone in which no obstacle is provided between the container and radiation emitter. The container is gripped from outside before the container is subjected to the sterilizing radiation, and after the container is subjected to the sterilizing radiation. A set of internal grips (3) is utilized for gripping the container. An independent claim is also included for an installation for sterilization of a container.
