Abstract

The armchair (10) has a frame (12) and a base (14) that swivels with regard to the frame. The frame includes a telescopic element with an upper part and a lower part (42) that are arranged to slide with regard to each other between a wide position and a retracted position. The lower part swivels with regard to a floor (26) of an aircraft to place the armchair in the floor in the retracted position between reinforcements e.g. rails (32). The base is connected to the upper part in a swiveling manner.
