Abstract

The device has a lower cutting blade (3) and an upper cutting blade (4) extending below and above a sheet strip (2) transversely to unwinding direction (F) of the strip. The upper cutting blade moves vertically relative to the lower cutting blade. The blades have cutting edges (3a, 4a) located in a vertical plane relative to the strip. A support and guide unit (6) supports and guides the strip according to an inclination angle (alpha) such that the strip is located above the edge of the lower cutting blade before and after cutting the strip by the edge of the upper cutting blade. An independent claim is also included for a cutting and stamping press.
