Abstract

Motor vehicle rear axle assembly with steered wheels, comprising, on each side, a wheel hub carrier (14) connected by a substantially vertical pivot to suspension arms (4), and at least one actuator (20) causing the rear wheels to pivot about the axis of their pivot, characterized in that it additionally comprises a central electric drive (30) driving two subaxles (36) positioned transversely one on each side of this drive, and each comprising joints (38, 40) to align with the hub carriers (14) and drive the turning of the wheel while at the same time allowing them to pivot.
