Description

The present invention relates to suspensions and more particularly to a suspension intended to be used on two front / rear wheels of a tricycle. The suspension for vehicles is known in the prior art. In addition, a large number of published documents are known. For example, there is a suspension arrangement for road vehicles. The chassis of the vehicle has a pair of pivots moved relative to each other, support levers, the opposite ends of which are attached to an axle of a wheel, the movement of the levers around their pivots being limited to a desired degree by means of springs or the like. In addition, there is a wheel suspension for motor vehicles. It comprises a wheel support supporting the wheel. Of the wheel guide members, a guide member is movable approximately in the transverse direction of the vehicle by means of an adjustment motor and supports the support spring. With this inner end, this guide element is pivotally connected to an intermediate lever. This intermediate lever is pivotally supported at the vehicle body around a pivot axis extending approximately in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and is connected at its lower end with the adjustment motor by means of lateral tie rods. In addition, there is an elastic suspension for cars suspended separately. But the conventional suspension for vehicles comprising tricycles is complex in terms of structure, expensive to manufacture and difficult to maintain. The invention can overcome the drawbacks of the suspensions of the prior art and offer other advantages. Therefore, an object of the invention is to provide a suspension for use on two front / rear wheels of a tricycle comprising a set of links comprising two H-shaped lower supports, two H-shaped upper supports, two coupling members each attached to a hub of the front / rear wheel and a plurality of internally threaded linkages for pivotally attaching the upper supports together, pivotally securing the lower supports together, and pivotably attaching each coupling between the upper support and the lower support on the same side; and elongated damping means having two ends attached to the upper supports. In addition, according to one embodiment, each upper support comprises a mounting member adapted to removably attach to each end of the damping means by means of a threaded fastener. The objects, features, and advantages of the invention and the others will become more apparent from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

Brief Description of the Drawings Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a suspension for a tricycle according to the invention; Figure 2 is an exploded view of Figure 1; Figure 3 is a perspective view of the suspension mounted on two front / rear wheels (only one wheel is shown) of a tricycle; Figure 4 is a view similar to Figure 3, where the tricycle rolls in a stable state; Figure 5 is a view similar to Figure 4, where both the front / rear wheels are inclined (only one wheel is shown) when turning on a road; and Fig. 6 is a view similar to Fig. 4, where the other front / rear wheel (not shown) encounters a rising area of the road. With reference to FIGS. 1 to 3, a suspension intended to be used on two front / rear wheels 5 of a tricycle 4 according to the invention comprises the following components, as discussed in more detail below. A set of links 1 comprises a plurality of internally threaded linkages 10, two upper H-shaped supports 11, two lower H-shaped supports 12, and two coupling members 13. Each of the upper supports 11 has a through hole 110 at one of the four ends. Each of the lower supports 12 has a through hole 120 at one of the four ends. A bearing 14 is provided in each through-hole 110 or 120. A concave mounting member 111 having a threaded hole 112 is provided on the upper portion of the interconnection portion of each upper support 11. Each coupling member 13 having a hollow coupling 131 with a protruding step-out diameter and four projections arranged as four corners of a rectangle, each projection having a through hole 130. In the assembly, each of the two threaded fasteners (e.g. bolt and nut combinations) is used to drive each end of a spring damper 2 and the threaded hole 112 to secure the damper 2 and the upper support 11 together. A linkage 10 passes loosely through a bearing 14, a through hole 110 of an upper support 11, a through hole 110 of the other upper support 11, another through hole 110 of an upper support 11, and a through hole 110 of the other upper support 11 in another bearing 14 to have one end disposed in a through hole 110 of an upper support 11 and the other end disposed in a through hole 110 of the other upper support 11 respectively. A threaded fastener 15 is driven into one end of the upper support 11 and another threaded fastener 15 is driven into the other end of the upper support 11 of the same side. Thus, two upper supports 11 are pivotally attached together. Similarly, the two lower supports 12 may be pivotally attached together. Another linkage 10 passes loosely through a bearing 14, a through hole 110 of an upper support 11, a through hole 110 of the coupling element 13, another through hole 110 of the coupling element 13 and another through hole 110 of an upper support 11 in another bearing 14 to have an end disposed in a through hole 110 of an upper support 11 and the other end disposed in a through hole 110 of an upper support 11 respectively. A threaded fastener 15 is driven into one end of the upper support 11 and another threaded fastener 15 is driven into the other end of the upper support 11 of the same side. Thus, an upper support 11 and the coupling element 13 are pivotally attached together. Similarly, each of the two coupling elements 13 can be pivotally attached between the upper support 11 and the lower support 12 on the same side. In addition, the coupling 131 of each coupling element 13 can be fixed on a hub 3 of a wheel 5 by means of a bearing 4. At the end, the invention is assembled. With reference to Figure 4, the tricycle rolls in a stable state. That is to say, we do not encounter any irregularities. A rectangle can be seen substantially from the front / rear end of the suspension.

Referring to Figure 5, there is shown that two front / rear wheels 5 are inclined (a single wheel 5 is shown) when they take a turn on the road. In addition, the suspension is inclined towards a wheel 5 to take the form of a parallelogram. This has the advantage of preventing the overturning of the vehicle when it takes a turn on the road. Referring to Figure 6, the other wheel (not shown) meets an area of the road that goes up. The left side of the suspension is substantially unaffected and its right side is pivotally raised a short distance from the damper 2 which is compressed. Therefore, the force of shocks and jolts is substantially absorbed by the damper 2. This can minimize discomfort when such irregularities are encountered. While the invention has been described in terms of preferred embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention may be made with modifications in the spirit and scope of the appended claims.
