Abstract

The container, made from a plastic material, consists of a base (2) and one or more hinged side walls (3), preferably on all four edges of the base, held together by adhesive, welding or rivets. It is preferably delivered flat and made up by the distributor when required for use. The base and walls can be made from two layers of material with a gap between providing sound insulation, and can be finished with a textile, e.g. carpet, layer. The container can also have stiffening ribs and be fitted with inserts for fixing to anchoring points in the vehicle, e.g. made for seats or seat belts.
