Abstract

The IC engine has a reversible electric machine (2) functioning either as an alternator or motor, with unit (3) for controlling the functioning of the engine (1) in order to provide the required torque to the vehicle wheels, and unit for monitoring the particle filter for triggering a regeneration phase of the filter by activating a restricted charge (5) from the electric machine in order to deduct a part of the torque delivered by the engine, with the control unit being adapted to consequently improve the torque delivered by the engine in order to provide the torque required by the wheels.
