Abstract

The wiper, consists of base with a flat under-surface (10) and rounded lengthwise edges (11), and two identical half-shells (2, 3) which are hinged to the base which form the sides of the wiper. When the two half-shells are closed by catches (26, 36) their sides press the edges of the fabric strip against projecting ribs (16) along the sides of the base, holding the strip in place. The inner surface of the base has two housings (17) for magnets, designed to hold the wiper on a metal board surface.

Description

 The present invention relates to an erasing device for tables on which one can write or draw in chalk or in dry wipable ink.

 The erasing of the tables is generally carried out by means of a cloth, which has the disadvantage for the user, particularly in the case of chalk, of being loaded with dust which in use stains the hands of said user.

 To overcome this drawback, erasing devices have been proposed comprising a gripping means and provided with a flat face to which is secured, generally by gluing, a strip of textile material, for example felt.

 However, the strip of textile material is also responsible for dust, and can not fulfill its functions for a long time, it is then necessary to replace the entire device.

 The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks by proposing an erasing device with a strip of textile material allowing easy replacement of said strip of textile material.

 The erasing device according to the invention is essentially characterized in that it is in the form of a housing comprising on the one hand a bottom whose underside is flat and whose longitudinal edges are rounded in the transverse direction, on which are pivotally articulated around two parallel longitudinal axes, two identical half-shells, which can be joined to one another, each having a sidewall bordered, except on its lower longitudinal edge, with a wall which is perpendicular thereto , said pivoting being produced so that the sidewalls are at a certain distance from the underside of said bottom when said half-shells are open, and that they are each practically in contact with a longitudinal edge of said bottom when said half-shells are joined to each other, to allow on the one hand the establishment of a strip of textile material against the underside of the bottom, and on the other hand maintains it n by pinching the longitudinal edges of said strip of textile material.

 According to an additional characteristic of the device according to the invention, the flat face of the bottom comprises at least one magnetic element allowing the device to be fixed to a metal board.

 The advantages and characteristics of the present invention will emerge more clearly from the description which follows and which refers to the appended drawing, which represents two non-limiting embodiments.

 If we refer to Figure 1 we can see that a device according to the invention is in the form of a housing comprising a base 1 of approximately rectangular shape and two identical half-shells 2 and 3.

 The bottom 1 has a flat bottom face 10 and two longitudinal edges li and 12 of rounded cross section.

 At its ends, the bottom 1 has two transverse walls 13 and 13 ′, each pierced with two orifices 14 and 15 aligned parallel to the lower face 10, the orifices 14 and i5 of a wall 13 being opposite the orifices 14 and 15 respectively. from the other wall 13 '.

 The half-shell 2 has a flank 20 bordered, except on its lower longitudinal edge 21, with a wall 22 which is substantially perpendicular to it.

 The half-shell 2 can pivot on the bottom 1 about an axis Xx !, by means of pivots 24, only one of which is visible in the figure, projecting from the internal face 23 of the wall 22, at each of the ends thereof, and introduced into the orifices 15 of the walls 13 and 13 '.

 The half-shell 3, identical to the half-shell 2, has a sidewall 30, a lower rectilinear longitudinal edge 31, a wall 32 and, projecting from the internal face 33 thereof, two pivots 34, not visible on ia Figure 1, intended to be introduced into the holes 14 of the walls 13 and 13 'of the bottom 1 to allow the pivoting of the half-shell 3 on the bottom 1 around an axis YY'.

 The half-shell 2 further comprises, arranged side by side in its median region, on the one hand a tongue 25 projecting from the wall 22 parallel to the latter and provided at the end and on the top of a lug 26, and on the other hand an orifice 27 formed in the wall 22, of dimensions corresponding to those of the lug 26.

 The half-shell 3, identical to the half-shell 2, also includes a tongue 35 with a lug 36, and an orifice 37.

 The attachment of the half-shell 2 to the demohull 3 is achieved by snap-fastening, using the tongues 25 and 35, the tongue 25 passing under the wall 32 and the lug 2o stinsering in the orifice 37, while the tongue 35 passes under the wall 22 and the lug 26 is inserted into the orifice 27, the opening being effected by pressing simultaneously on the lugs 26 and 36 while pulling on the half-shells 2 and 3.

 In Figure 2 we can see the half-shells 2 and 3 assembled at the bottom 1 in the open position, that is to say that the sides 20 and 30 are practically in the extension of one another and at a certain distance from the underside 10 of the mower 1, which allows the insertion of a strip 4 of textile material, including the longitudinal boras 40 and 41, when the demicoques 2 and 3 are brought together, as shown in FIG. 3, are caught between the longitudinal edges 12 and 11 of the bottom i and the sides 20 and 30, more precisely the lower parts 25 and 35 of these, located near the longitudinal edges 21 and 31, the strip 4 then being pressed and held against the underside 10 of the bottom 1.

 In order to improve the retention of the longitudinal edges 40 and 41 of the strip 4 between the lower parts 25 and 35 of the sides 20 and 30 and the bottom 1, the longitudinal edges ll and 12 of the latter each have a protruding rim 16 outwards.

 It can also be seen in FIGS. 2 and 3 that the bottom 1 has compartments 17, open on the side of the lower face 10, intended to house magnetic elements, not shown, allowing the assembly of the assembly on a table when that -this is metallic.

 In Figure 4 we can see a variant of the device according to the invention, where the bottom 1 comprises centrally and transversely a plate 18 which is perpendicular thereto, reinforced by flying buttresses 18 ', and whose upper edge 19 has two notches 19 'in each of which a protuberance 28, 38 is snapped in, of complementary shape, which each of the walls 22 and 32 of the half-shells 2 and 3 have internally.

 It goes without saying that the present invention cannot be limited to the foregoing description of some of its embodiments, capable of undergoing a certain number of modifications without departing from the scope of the invention.

Claims (8)

1) Eraser device for tables on which one can write or draw in chalk or in dry wiping ink, characterized in that it is in the form of a box comprising on the one hand a bottom (1) whose underside (10) is planar and the longitudinal edges (11, 12) are rounded in the transverse direction, on which pivotally articulate, around two parallel longitudinal axes (XX!
