Abstract

The invention relates to a device allowing the fast closure, in complete safety, of circular manholes of containers subjected to operating pressures of 2 bars without the use of a special tool. It consists of a closing hoop (1) on which 2 cheeks (2 and 3) are welded, one of them (3) being split and comprising a safety lug, of a safety cap (10) allowing locking by means of a pin (12), and a rod (4) and handle (7 and 9) clamping assembly allowing the clamping of the hoop over the cover and the collar of the manhole. The device according to the invention is particularly intended to ensure the closure of manholes in containers for transporting dangerous products at a pressure of 2 bars.
