Abstract

The invention relates to a method for consulting an item of information provided by a computer database or the like, using a mobile read medium (3) comprising display means (18). The inventive method is characterised in that the information is transferred to the mobile read medium (3) and presented or represented in the form of a succession of pages with a fixed content like a facsimile during the transfer of said information; the information is saved in the form of a succession of pages with a fixed content like a facsimile in the storage means (16) belonging to said mobile read medium; the pages with a fixed information content defining the information thus saved are displayed by the mobile read medium (3) as a print-out by a printer; the information can be scrolled page by page, forwards and backwards. The invention also relates to a device to carry out said method.
