Abstract

The hinge join fixed and mobile components such as an upright and a door leaf (1, 2). The hinge has two sections (11, 12) which rotate in relation to each other around the axis (5). Each section has a fixing mechanism (13, 36) to fix it to the building components (1, 2). One (12) sections has an adjustment plate (38) which fits into an adjustment slot (32). A locking screw (40) is used to adjust the axial and transverse position of the fixing mechanism and then hold it in the required position. The section with the adjustment slot has a tubular end (23) which holds a fixed insert (24) with the adjustment slot and which has a groove (34) opposite the slot. The insert has an axial pin (26) which pivots in a corresponding bore (27) in the other section (11) of the hinge providing a link between the two pivoting sections of the hinge.
