Abstract

The support for two pallets comprises a horizontal base (10) comprising a rectangular frame (12), capable of receiving a first pallet, and two uprights (28,30). Each upright has a first end articulated about a horizontal axis (XX',YY') relative to the base and a second free end. Each upright can take up a folded position parallel to the base and a vertical erected position. Each upright also has stops for retaining it in a vertical position (50) when one pallet is placed on the base and supports (32,34,36,38) fixed to the upright free end. These supports define two horizontal support surfaces when the upright is in its second position, by which, when the two uprights are vertical, a second pallet can be placed on the four support surfaces.

two upright assemblies, each assembly having a first end hinged about a horizontal axis relative to said base, said horizontal axis being parallel to one of the first sides of the base and close to it, and a second free end, whereby each upright assembly can take a first folded position substantially parallel to said base and a second upright position substantially vertical, each upright assembly further comprising means for holding in a vertical position when a pallet is placed on said base and support means integral with the free end of the upright assembly, said support means defining two horizontal support surfaces, when the upright assembly is in its second position, said support surfaces protruding from the face of the upright facing the other upright whereby, when the two upright assemblies are in a vertical position, a second pallet can rest on the four support surfaces.

2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that each upright assembly has the general shape of a frame comprising two support bars orthogonal to the pivot axis and two horizontal bars, one of said horizontal being close to the free end support bars.
