Abstract

The profile is for a tread with a horizontal wooden panel and a vertical wooden panel mounted on a metal profile enclosing the whole tread to be renovated. An additional blocking profile holds the wooden panels in position for easy demounting. The additional profile is attached to the nose of the tread and fixed in place by a single screw on the main profile. The additional profile can be mounted along a vertical groove along the frontal face of the main profile. It has a main horizontal flange under which the front board of the wooden plate is mounted.

A system for renovating steps, of the type consisting of a horizontal wooden plate and a vertical wooden plate which is placed on a main metal section fitting the entire step to be renovated, characterized in that said system comprises, for maintaining in the blocked but easily removable state all of said wooden plates, an additional profile called blocking or finishing, coming to fit on the nose and fixed by means of a single screw, on the profile main.

System according to claim 1, characterized in that said finishing profile coming to fit, along a vertical groove made along its front face, on a vertical flange located on a front extension of the upper horizontal face of said main profile, it comprises a first horizontal wing under which the front edge of the horizontal wooden plate is fitted and a second vertical wing under which is fitted the upper edge of the vertical wooden plate, so that, by said fitting and said recesses, the finishing profile, when it is fixed to the main profile by means of a single screw, keeps the whole assembly in place.
