Abstract

The subject of the present invention is a self-locking and modular assembly device for the construction of furniture, shelf units and other wooden furniture elements. It consists of the combination of entirely wooden elements 1, or possibly elements made from plastic or the like, these elements consisting of uprights 1, crossmembers 4, intermediate elements and depth elements 8 as well as of complementary components which are partition elements, rebate elements, and elements for blocking a crossmember, the uprights being provided with cuts 2 into which there are inserted the crossmembers or the intermediate elements, as well as the end of the depth elements which is formed of a double fork 9 which blocks the assembly by clamping, which makes the systems self-locking, the crossmembers and the intermediate elements including a part which is narrower at the assembly points, as well as a rebate over their entire length. It is intended to be applied in the production, by individuals without specialist knowledge, of wooden furniture such as tables, shelves, wardrobes, which can easily be modified and dismantled.

Description

 The present invention relates to a self-locking and modular assembly device for the - construction of furniture, shelves and other wooden furniture elements.

 I1 is intended to be applied in the realization, by people without particular knowledge, of wooden furniture such as tables, shelving, cupboards, easily modifiable and dismountable.

 The assembly of devices of this type made to date is most often obtained using gluing, tenons and mortises, dowels, screws or bolts, which makes their modification or disassembly difficult if not impossible. Other systems require threading very long pieces.

 The device according to the present invention eliminates all these drawbacks. Indeed, it allows at any time the modification or dismantling of any piece of furniture made thanks to it.

it has no metal parts and does not require glue. Parts of the system make it easy to include wooden or glass partitions, backdrops or doors in an assembly.
