Abstract

The invention relates to a device for neutralising the undesirable effects caused by the shock of the recoil felt by the user of a firearm. It consists of a stock unit comprising: 3 cylindrical bodies (1, 2, 3) within which is fixed a damping brake (4), two vents (5) allow the compressed air to escape. A clamping ring (6) links the main body of the weapon to the stock unit. A rack gear (7) and a slider/latch (8) allow adjustment of the elongation. A cheek rest (9) fixed by tenons (10) and a screw (11) accommodates a shoulder guide rod (12), a stock shoe (13) and a sheet of a flexible material (14) complete the device. Anti-recoil device according to the invention particularly intended to equip personal firearms.

Description

The present invention relates to a device for neutralizing the recoil caused by the firing of firearms.

The sticks in traditional wood or in synthetic material or in metal alloy of the individual firearms of hunting or war have the following disadvantages - At the start of the blow under the gas pressure all the

The device according to the invention makes it possible to remedy these drawbacks, it in fact comprises, according to a first characteristic, a stick block which can replace the traditional stick made of wood or any other material (synthetic or metallic. This stick block consisting of cylindrical tubes has the particularity of being equipped with a damper-brake which absorbs and neutralizes the mechanical effects caused by the inertial force of the recoil of the weapon in its rear stroke.

The blockacrosse also consists of a shoe receiving a layer plate in rubberized beads or in any other flexible material ensuring in all cases a better comfort of use.

In the upper part is fixed a wooden cheek support preferably in which is housed a rigid guide rod which extracted from its housing is supported on the top of the shoulder thus creating exceptional stability of the weapon and at the same time provides the shooter with high precision aiming.

The blocwcrosse is equipped with a rack sliding in a slider allowing to enlarge or reduce the length of the bloc-lacrosse according to the morphology of the shooter.

According to the particular embodiments - the three elements of cylindrical alloy tubes
light metal or PVC (KEVLAR) can be the
main body of the blocacrosse.

A simple spring or hydraulic shock absorber with springs, gas or the like fixed between the two cylindrical elements sliding one inside the other can function like a traditional shock absorber of vehicle to slow down the recoil of the weapon.

A piece of wood or other shaped, fixed on the upper part of the third cylindrical element can constitute a cheek support with the advantage of being used by a right-handed or a left-handed person.

A rack made in the lower part of this same third cylindrical element can, by being maneuvered around a locking slider, enlarge or decrease the extension of the hook block.

Beads of rubber or any other flexible material can be inserted into the lacrosse shoe and thus constitute the buttplate.

A shoulder tigerguide housed in the cheek rest can when it is removed can rest on the top of the shoulder.

The air compressed by the recoil damping can be expelled through vents in one of the cylinders.

It shows in section the device according to the invention.

With reference to this drawing, the device comprises three cylindrical elements (1, 2, 3) adjusted so as to slide into each other without play. The damping brake (4) fixed at its ends in the cylinders (1, 2) goes in its action allow these two cylinders to operate in a telescopic movement. The air compressed by the recoil escapes through the vents (5).

A fixing ring (6) will ensure the connection and fixing of the blockacrosse with the main body of the weapon.

To enlarge or reduce the extension of the block, the cylinder (3) slides on the cylinder (2) along a rack (7) guided by a slider (8) which by tightening will lock the assembly. The cheek support (9) is fixed in the upper part of the cylinder (3) by two anchoring pins (10), one of which is held by a screw (11) ensuring the homogeneity of the assembly.

The cheek piece (9) receives in its housing the shoulder guide rod (12). The device is completed in the rear part of the cylinder (3) by the buttstock (13) provided with a layer plate (14).

The device has the advantage of being able to be produced easily by a person skilled in the art, whatever the materials used. In addition, it provides the user with certain comfort and exceptional precision when aiming rapid shots at fixed or mobile targets.

The device according to the invention is particularly intended to neutralize the harmful effects of the shock caused by the retreat of individual firearms.
