Abstract

The invention relates to a locking arrangement, particularly an anti-panic arrangement for locking a movable member for closing an opening. This arrangement is of the type comprising a mechanism for immobilising the movable element in its position of closure and for releasing this member, which mechanism is mounted on the movable member and provided with a lock bolt (8) designed to engage in a striker plate member mounted on the fixed structure surrounding the opening, and a bearing bar (2) for actuating the lock bolt (8) which can move in a support (1) secured to the moving member, between a pushed-in position entraining the withdrawal of the lock bolt (8) from the said striker plate member and an out position in which the locking bolt is engaged in the latter. The arrangement is characterised in that it comprises a device (11) for keeping the bar (2) in its position in which it is pushed into the housing (1), which is provided with specifically-controlled means (12) for bringing into service. The invention can be used for anti-panic doors.
