IN PARTICULAR FOR THE REGISTRATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES
AND PLATE THUS OBTAINED.
La présente invention concerne les plaques signalétiques, notamment pour l'immatriculation des véhicules automobiles et en particulier une plaque signalétique ayant un bel aspect de surface et obtenue de façon économique à partir de l'outillage existant chez les fabricants de plaques minéralogiques en France. On connaît par le brevet français nO 2 573 004 un procédé de fabrication de plaques de signalisation qui consiste à former par poinçonnage des caractères en relief sur une plaque épaisse de façade en matière transparente et malléable, ceci à partir d'une plaque intermédiaire mince et colorée, dont les parties de caractère colorées poinçonnées sont insérées à l'arrière de la plaque de façade et les parties non insérées sont retirées, et d'une feuille postérieure assemblée (collée), de couleur formant fond ou contraste avec les caractères insérés.Il faut préciser qu'on ne peut employer une plaque rigide postérieure portant la couleur de fond car à ce moment le recouvrement ou contact inévitablement imparfait des surfaces de la plaque transparente épaisse et donc relativement rigide et de la plaque postérieure rigide conduirait à un mauvais rendu de la couleur de fond des caractères (aspect de traces). Il faut donc pour obtenir un fond convenable pour les caractères réaliser un effet de peau recouvrant de façon bien homogène la surface de la plaque transparente du côté de ses caractères insérés et utiliser par exemple un film adhésif coloré bien appliqué tel que précisé dans le brevet susmentionné.Une telle plaque de signalisation présente naturellement un bel aspect de surface en raison de la plaque de façade transparente, mais l'utilisation de matière plastique pour cette plaque épaisse support, inévitable pour la transparence, conduit après poinçonnage à la déformation de cette dernière (forme concave) qui s'accentue dans le temps. Une telle déformation est inacceptable sur le plan esthétique et pratique. L'invention vise à remédier à cet inconvénient. - à superposer une plaque supérieure ou plaque de façade épaisse et transparente, en matériau relativement malléable, et une plaque intermédiaire plus mince et de couleur
- à placer ces deux plaques ainsi superposées entre un poinçon et une matrice portant les caractères que l'on désire mettre en relief sur la plaque de signalisation, le poinçon étant situé du côté de la plaque intermédiaire de couleur et la matrice du côté de la plaque transparente,
- à presser le poinçon et la matrice en direction l'un de l'autre de manière à découper et enfoncer la plaque intermédiaire suivant le périmètre des caractères portés en relief par le poinçon et à enfoncer dans les empreintes de la matrice les parties correspondantes de la plaque de façade, sans les découper de cette plaque,
- à retirer les parties de la plaque intermédiaire non insérées dans la plaque de façade,
- et à appliquer contre la face postérieure libre de la plaque intermédiaire, une feuille souple (ou film adhésif) postérieure qui lui est fixée par collage, soudage, ou de toute autre matière appropriée, et qui est d'une couleur différente de celle de la face antérieure de la plaque intermédiaire, caractérisé en ce que l'on assemble une plaque rigide, par exemple en aluminium, sur la face postérieure de l'ensemble formé par la plaque transparente poinçonnée avec ses caractères et la feuille souple postérieure.I1 is indeed proposed according to the invention a method of manufacturing nameplates, in particular for the registration of motor vehicles, of the type consisting
