Abstract

A storage container for motor vehicles, articulated to a fixing base 6 screwed on to an internal wall 2 of the vehicle and urged by a spring 11 towards a rest position in which the container 15 is pressed against a lining 3 of the passage compartment, characterised in that two pairs of recesses 18, 18', 19, 19' located symmetrically on either side of a median partition 20 respectively receive the clevises 8 formed on the fixing bases 6 and the functional elements of a spectacles frame, whereas the internal walls of the recesses and the longitudinal walls 21, 22 of the container delimit the volume for storing the said frame.

FOR MOTOR VEHICLES
The invention relates to a hinged storage case for accessories intended to be fixed inside the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle and more particularly relates to a hinged case on a fixing base screwed to an interior wall of the vehicle and urged by a spring to a closed position.

The subject of the invention is in particular a bitier for receiving articles such as a pair of glasses arranged near the seat of the vehicle to occupy a rest position in which the case is pressed against a trim trim for the passenger compartment .

The passenger compartments of motor vehicles are known, the side walls of which carry handles fixed to the body by screws or the like with an attached cover covering the region of the fixing. When the grab handles are not installed, it is essential to hide the fixing runes with shutters, the presence of which affects the finish appearance of the trim parts.

The invention therefore relates to a storage case whose arrangement is compatible with a fixing e>: i stante.

The invention also relates to a storage case for a spectacle frame integrated into the trim of the vehicle.

Sel on 1 invention the case has two>. pairs of symmetrically arranged recesses on either side of a central partition respectively intended for the reception of yokes formed on fixing bases and of functional elements of a spectacle assembly while the inner walls of the recesses and the longi tud ina walls of the box ie delimit the storage volume of said frame.

The case thus produced allows the storage and protection of a pair of glasses intended to improve the visual comfort of the driver.

As shown in FIG. 1, a motor vehicle body represented by its flag 1 and by a lining sheet 2 comprises a trim lining 3 whose external face is secured by any known means (bonding, stapling, etc.) to sheet 2 and pavilion 1. The lining sheet carries the receiving openings of @@ expandable inserts 4 as well as the pin centering orifices 5 secured to the fixing bases 6, only one of which has been shown in FIG.

A fixing screw 7 ensures the connection of the base 6 with the sheet 2 via the expandable insert 4.

Each base carries a retaining yoke 8 of a hinge pin 9, the visible part of which is concealed by the housing 15 better represented in FIG. 3. A spring mounted therein in tension between a branch of the yoke 8 and a stop provided in the housing 15 is wound around one axis 9 in order to exert an elastic return force on the housing 15 in the direction of its closure. According to the invention, the poitier 15 is divided into two pairs of recesses 15, 18 '- 19, 19' symmetrically arranged on either side of a central partition 2C on which the bridge of the spectacle frame rests. The recesses ie, 18 'adjacent to the two ends of the housing contain the yokes 8 while the interior walls of the recesses 18 18' and the longitudinal walls 21 22 of the housing define the storage volume of the frame.

 As shown in Figure 3, the housing 15 has a retaining wall 23 which extends along one of its longitudinal sides and is directed towards a notch 24 for gripping.

The case thus produced can of course receive a coating of felt in order to avoid scratches on the glasses of glasses as well as a pocket of cleaning paper.
