Abstract

Method for measuring the untwist in the vanes 3 of a rotating turbomachine. Characterised in that a signal 2A is generated which is dependent on the rotational speed of the turbine. A camera 5 pointing towards a position B through which the ends of the vanes 3 pass is opened, an electronic flash 6 is triggered illuminating the said position B for a very short time with a delay which is dependent on the rotational speed of the turbine and on the position of the chosen vane 3' so that the end of the chosen vane 3' is in the position B at the moment of illumination from the electronic flash 6. The photograph 3B is developed and it is compared with the photograph 3A of the same vane end 3' taken at rest. Device making it possible to implement the method. This method is simple and reliable and makes it possible to measure the actual untwist of a given vane.
