Abstract

The stepladder has a series of risers (1), each fixed to a vertical step panel (4) using a horizontal tie rod (6) which also fixes the base of an exterior handrail support (5). Vertical screws fix each vertical step panel to the step (3) immediately profiled brackets (2). Each vertical step panel has two lateral lugs that engage respective notches in the corresponding riser and support, and top edge of the vertical step panel has a longitudinal tongue that engages in a groove in the underside front edge of the step above.

2. Staircase according to claim 1, characterized in that the uprights (1) are in number equal to that of the steps (3).

3. Staircase according to any one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the uprights (1) are assembled to each other by gussets (2) suitably profiled.

4. Staircase according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that each riser (4) is provided with two lateral ears (4c) suitable for being engaged in housings (la, 5a) respectively formed in the uprights ( 1) and corresponding support (5).

5. Staircase according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the upper edge of each riser (4) has a longitudinal tongue (4b) engaged in a corresponding groove (3a) formed in the underside of each step (3), at the anterior edge thereof.

6. Staircase according to claim 5, characterized in that the groove (3a) is established at a depth greater than the height of the tongue (4b) so as to provide a free space for the passage of the tie rod (6) .

7. Staircase according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that each step (3) is made integral with the riser (4) which overcomes it using a vertical lag bolt '(7) , provided in the vicinity of the outer vertical edge of said steps and risers.

8. Staircase according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the uprights (1) and the supports (5) protrude by a height equal above the steps (3).
