Abstract

This device comprises a bush 9 arranged between a hub 4 of a steering wheel and a steering shaft 1. This bush is rotationally securely fastened to the shaft 1 and comprises, on its external surface, means for coupling to the hub 4. These coupling means consist of a first thread 10 intended to interact with corresponding tapping of the hub 4 so as to allow at least one angular displacement of the hub and thus of the steering wheel with respect to the bush 9 and thus to the shaft. In addition, there are also provided means 11 for blocking the hub 4 with respect to the bush 9 in the desired adjustment position. These locking means advantageously consist of a member forming a lock nut screwed on the bush 9 against the said hub.
