Abstract

The present invention relates to a system of lacing of articles of footwear, particularly laced sports shoes comprising two quarters being applied through the tightening action of the lacing on the tongue. According to the invention, the central part 11a of the lace 11 is stretched by passing over the tongue 6 and under the quarters 2-3 between at least two eyelets 7-8 arranged laterally on the upper on either side of the central line substantially at the level of the line of articulation 5 of the quarters, the free ends 11f-11g of the lace being slipped into two or more eyelets 9-10 arranged in the usual manner along the joining edges of the quarters and connected by a knot. The invention improves the tightening of the lace and prevents loosening of the knot.
