Abstract

Self-locking element for threaded rods or spindles clamped in a nut. In the nut there is placed a helical spring 1 whose thread pitch corresponds to that of the rod and at least at one ends of which there is made a first hook 2 bent over in the radial direction which is fixed as a heel into the first notch 2 made in the casing of the said nut. The invention particularly allows light fittings to be fastened into a suspension tube.
