Abstract

The lock has a latch, and one or more drive bars emerging from the lock case, extensible by turning an inside handle coupled to a latch knob, and blockable in this position by a key-operated blocking unit. The bar is coupled to a second handle knob, on the outside of the door, while the latch is withdrawable by a gear lever, by key operation. The force-locking connection between the two knob arms and dirve bar attachment piece is provided by chain links. THese may be seated on the control lugs of the arms protruding into the slots in the attachment piece. Loading stability is enhanced, and the unit is simple and compact, with no slope occuring in handles after prolonged use.
