Abstract

Ce flotteur comprend une enveloppe extérieure métallique légère 1 à paroi mince fermée à chacune de ses deux extrémités par un couvercle 2 en forme de cuvette et contenant une mince gaine imperméable 3 en une matière souple fermée de façon étanche à chacune de ses extrémités 4, cette gaine 3 étant elle-même remplie d'une mousse plastique 5, de préférence à cellules fermées, de très faible densité, et épousant sensiblement la surface interne de l'enveloppe 1. L'enveloppe 1 assure la protection mécanique du flotteur tandis que la gaine souple 3 assure son étanchéité.
