Abstract

L'invention concerne les techniques de fabrication des matériaux de très haute dureté. Le matériau faisant l'objet de l'invention est du type comprenant du nitrure de bore cubique et un liant, et est caractérisé en ce qu'il contient à titre de liant un carbure et un diborure d'un métal des groupes IV-V de la classification périodique, introduits en proportions eutectiques, les proportions des constituants dans ledit matériau étant les suivantes (% en poids) : nitrure de bore cubique de 28 à 80; carbure et diborure d'un métal des groupes IV-V de la classification périodique des éléments, introduits en proportions eutectiques de 72 à 20. Le matériau en question trouve en particulier des applications dans la construction des machines-outils et d'autres branches de la technique, pour la coupe des fontes dures spéciales, des aciers trempés et des alliages difficilement usinables.
