Abstract
Générateur de gaz, comportant une chambre de réaction annulaire qui contient une cartouche de propergol solide et qui est délimitée par un tube central, par une coquille d'enveloppe coaxiale à ce dernier, ainsi que par un disque à tuyères situé entre le pourtour extérieur de la coquille d'enveloppe et le tube central. La coquille d'enveloppe 20 au moins est réalisée en une seule pièce, en tôle, par façonnage à froid sans enlèvement de copeaux. Le bord intérieur de la coquille est fixé au tube central 16 de façon étanche à la pression (jonction 48, 50). De telles jonctions 34, 36 existent aussi entre le bord extérieur du disque à tuyères 22 et la coquille d'enveloppe 20, ainsi qu'entre le bord interieur dudit disque à tuyères et le tube central. L'une des jonctions de rive au moins est réalisée sous forme de noeud d'assemblage marginal rigide par complémentarité de formes ou par liaison de matière. Application : notamment au gonflage de coussins de protection contre les chocs des occupants de véhicules.Gas generator, comprising an annular reaction chamber which contains a solid propellant cartridge and which is delimited by a central tube, by a casing shell coaxial with the latter, as well as by a nozzle disk located between the outer periphery of the casing shell and the central tube. The casing shell 20 at least is made in one piece, in sheet metal, by cold working without chip removal. The inner edge of the shell is fixed to the central tube 16 in a pressure-tight manner (junction 48, 50). Such junctions 34, 36 also exist between the outer edge of the nozzle disc 22 and the casing shell 20, as well as between the inner edge of said nozzle disc and the central tube. At least one of the edge junctions is produced in the form of a rigid marginal assembly node by complementarity of shapes or by material bonding. Application: in particular to the inflation of protective cushions against impacts of vehicle occupants.
