Abstract

New esters of muramyl-peptide are disclosed. The compounds of the invention have the chemical structure of a muramyl-peptide, the peptidic chain enclosing at least two aminoacyl residues, the second residue being a glutaminyl residue. Said compounds are characterized by the presence, on the position 8 of the glutaminyl residue, of a hydrocarbonaceous chain enclosing at least four carbons. Said compounds are appropriate for use as immunoregulating substances in pharmaceutical compositions or as laboratory reactants.
