Abstract
Une hydroxyapatite est produite par la mise en contact en continu d'un courant d'une bouillie de chaux hydratée avec un courant d'acide phosphorique à 60 % en poids environ au moins, dans un rapport approximativement stoechiométrique de 10 Ca(OH)2 à 6 H3 PO4 et à une température d'environ 80 à environ 85 degrés C, à un pH contrôlé du mélange réactionnel compris entre 9,0 environ et 11,0 environ; on calcine cette hydroxyapatite à une température d'au moins 1 000 degrés C, ce qui donne une cendre d'os synthétique. The latter can be used in the manufacture of bone porcelain (also called English porcelain or phosphate porcelain), a product which occupies a very important place in the ceramics industry.
