Abstract

The insert is designed for placing between successive rows of bottles in a case in which alternate rows of bottles face in opposite directions. The inset is of rectangular or square section, its length corresponding to the width of the case perpendicular to the axis of the bottles. Its width along the axis of the bottles is as small as possible. The width of the insert is governed by the necessity to immobilise the bottles with the aid of openings provided in its upper and lower faces which conform to the shapes of the bottles where it contacts them over half their periphery.
