Abstract

the distributor for granular fertiliser has an outer member (1) in the shape of a flattened funnel, ie it is of rectangular cross section. At the rear is a tube (10) which connects it with the fertiliser storage vessel. Inside fits a tray shaped distributor (15) which is triangular to match the interior of the funnel. This tray has a series of hollow pegs (17) projecting upwards from its surface which serve to direct the fertiliser as it flows through, spreading it. There is a central peg near the inlet, which tends to direct the flow into two streams initially, and these streams impinge onto two sloping guides (18) parallel with the sloping sides (6).
