Abstract

A skin electrode for electroencephalography, electrocardiography, electromyography or iontophoretic therapy comprises a plastics body (2) with a ring-shaped surface (4) that is stuck to the skin by a double-sided tape (9). An electrode (3) is arranged in a cavity (6) that can be filled with a conductive paste or gel (13) through a hole (11). The hole (11) is arranged on the axis of the electrode body, and registers with a hole (12) in the electrode (3). At least one discharge duct (14) from the cavity (6) is provided for excess paste or gel, preferably in the form of a groove in the electrode body (2) under the adhesive tape (9).
