Abstract

The self-contained hydraulic jack is fitted to an articulated trailer for parking. The jack comprises a head plate (1) to which is welded a U-shaped reservoir (2), which is welded to a guide cylinder (4) in which a ram (5) slides. A pump (9) fitted to the head plate (1) is operated manually by a lever (10). Hydraulic fluid is pumped from the reservoir (3) through a ball valve (14) into a cylinder (6) through a channel machined in the head plate (1). A needle valve allows oil to return to the reservoir.
